Data Portal Datasets

Description

The data are available in separate datasets for projects, people and the different types of output data. These separate datasets can be merged via the project numbers (cf. GrantNumber). The various data fields and the quality of the data they contain are described in the Glossary.

The datasets are a continuation of the CSV files that the SNSF published in the P3 database until 2021. Changes are limited to additional data fields and changes to the names of data fields. The field mapping of the Grant Search files and P3 files provides a full overview of these changes.

The projects and persons datasets go back until 1975. Earlier SNSF-funded projects are not recorded electronically.

The output data have been entered by the applicants since 2011. The SNSF does not check them systematically. They may not fully reflect the actual output of specific projects.

All data are subject to the open data policy of the SNSF.
