Description
This list is managed by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) and is updated according to the latest changes published in the Federal Gazette by the Geodesy and Federal Directorate of Cadastral Surveying (swisstopo). The historical list of communes - according to the latest version of the eCH-0071 standard - contains all the communes since 1848 and their mutations and serves as a reference for the identification and the designation of communes in several administrative operations at federal, cantonal and communal level, as well as in the private sector.
