Der OGD-Fachausschuss ist das vom Regierungsrat eingesetzte Koordinationsgremium, das für die einheitliche Publikation offener Behördendaten sorgt. Er betreut die dazu notwendigen Standards, Vorgaben, Empfehlungen und sorgt für ihre bedarfsgerechte Weiterentwicklung. Er trifft sich mindestens dreimal jährlich. In ihm sind mindestens alle Verwaltungseinheiten und Organe des Kantons Zürich vertreten, die offene Daten bereitstellen.
